Before I begin my posts on my trips around Indonesia, I thought I'd continue my "Flowers around the World" theme. I like to photograph the plants and flowers when I travel, so here is a beautiful flower I saw in the countryside of Java. I was notified by a nice reader that this flower is a "Plumeria".

Hello! I originally created this blog as a means of journalling my multi-month trip through Asia, Australia, New Zealand and other places. I mainly did this for friends and family, but it has turned into more than that with many emails from around the world. I tend to be upfront, but not unkind about the places I travel to. I do this because it is quite common for the travel industry to mislead people into believing a city or country is far different than the reality. I am a respectful and kind traveler, so I am never mean-spirited with my comments. I usually try to deal with things through humor or simple observations. Over the years I have been to many countries around the world, so I will try to do archive posts about those places as I get time. Please feel free to comment or suggest. Also, there may be the occasional typo or I may mislabel a place or picture, so don't be afraid to help me correct that. I can't promise that all of my posts will be exciting, but I'll do my best. Also, there are literally thousands of pictures in addition to the ones that I have posted on the blog. These photos can be found in my Flickr photo album and the link is on the Link bar at top and in most posts (for that country or city).Thanks for reading!
