Flowers around the world - Hong Kong

One of the things I always seem to photograph when I travel, is flowers. I guess the combination of colors and nature get my attention, so I capture them whenever I can. So, I thought I would just post a photo or two here and there of different flowers from around the world for those who might be interested.

I took this particular photo in Hong Kong in 2009 and I was informed by a friendly lady on Flickr that it is called a "Casesalpinia Pulcherrima".

About This Blog

Hello! I originally created this blog as a means of journalling my multi-month trip through Asia, Australia, New Zealand and other places. I mainly did this for friends and family, but it has turned into more than that with many emails from around the world. I tend to be upfront, but not unkind about the places I travel to. I do this because it is quite common for the travel industry to mislead people into believing a city or country is far different than the reality. I am a respectful and kind traveler, so I am never mean-spirited with my comments. I usually try to deal with things through humor or simple observations. Over the years I have been to many countries around the world, so I will try to do archive posts about those places as I get time. Please feel free to comment or suggest. Also, there may be the occasional typo or I may mislabel a place or picture, so don't be afraid to help me correct that. I can't promise that all of my posts will be exciting, but I'll do my best. Also, there are literally thousands of pictures in addition to the ones that I have posted on the blog.
